The brief was to create a line of characters with instant transformation and create single-frame comics with them. So I needed characters that could be like a construction set, so I could tear their heads off, swap them around, throw them out of frames. With transformer heroes like that, it's easier to find out-of-the-box solutions for plaing around with comics. A series of comics was born revolving around Kolobok.
The project was done as part of a brief at a HSE Art and Design school on my 1st year.

Yellow / Kolobok / Boxer / Piggy and Plushy / Beauty

I came up with the idea that the transformation doesn't have to be physical, it can also be visual, where we look at the other characters through the eyes of Kolobok, who has collapsed and is looking for help in passers-by. However, they turn out not to be what they seemed at the beginning.
I played with wood at the same time, and that's how the wooden character lineup turned out. I built the little Kolobok using magnets, so it's like a construction set that comes together and falls apart. It is also very tiny and fits in a saucepan.
